Fishing Seminars & Angler Happy Hour

Learn how and where to catch more fish with renowned fishing expert Lenny Rudow of FishTalk Magazine as he and fellow anglers host free seminars inside the show.  Calling all Anglers to join us for an Angler Happy Hour, starting Saturday at 4:30pm in the Fishing Spot. Come join us to talk fishing and enjoy adult beverages provided by Pusser’s Caribbean Grille (cash bar), until the show ends.

SEMINAR SCHEDULE:

Saturday:

Saturday at 1:00 FishTalk’s how-to fishing seminars kick off with Team FishTalk 2, a group of young, social media-savvy anglers who have honed their skills at targeting specific species of fish. Dillon Waters, FishTalk’s own fishing reports editor, will get the ball rolling by discussing fall striper fishing. David Rudow will delve into tactics for hooking up redfish, and Mark Nicolaus will help the anglers out there with targeting snakeheads as the seasons change.

At 2:00 EJ Harman, who runs the Combos for Kids program, will talk about tips for fishing with kids – and be sure to bring those kids along because we’ll have tackle giveaways on hand for them!

At 3:00 Angler in Chief Lenny Rudow will arrive to talk about finding rockfish when the birds don’t cooperate. Breaking fish marked by gulls has been harder and harder to come by during recent fall months, so it’s critical for all anglers to have a Plan B (and C and D) in case those birds don’t show up, if they want to be successful.

Sunday:

Sunday begins with at 1:00 seminar with Bryan Dolph of Old Skool Tackle, delivering a seminar on How to Choose the Best Lure for the Conditions.

Fly fishing aficionados will want to be there at 2:00, when author, FishTalk contributor, and president of the Free State Fly Fishers, Mark Bange, presents the how-to and where-to information you need to be successful when fly fishing in the Chesapeake Bay tributaries and creeks.

And we wrap up the seminars at 3:00, when Lenny Rudow returns to the stage to discuss how anglers can find success when the fall winds blow and make fishing in the open Bay difficult.
