Got questions about kids’ sailing camps and programs? We’ve got answers!

All are invited for a youth sailing panel discussion and Q&A session Saturday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show.

This casual yet informative session will feature an enthusiastic and knowledgeable group of panelists who know youth sailing from the inside out.  We’ll touch on all the essentials that families need to know to get their youngsters started sailing, and we’ll present the information in an interactive, fun way that includes the perspectives of coaches, parents, and young sailors.

Most parents who didn’t grow up in youth sailing programs have questions about how they work. Whether you’re curious about what kids wear, safety, costs, how kids progress to bigger boats or wonder more generally about how sailing fosters life skills, problem solving, and independence, this session is for you. Our moderator will tailor our time together so that we cover topics of most interest to those in attendance.

Young sailors and potential young sailors are encouraged to attend with a parent or guardian. After the panel discussion, explore the show. The Pride of Baltimore II will be open for deck tours. A variety of boats will be on display, and your family may board them. If you’re looking for lifejackets or other sailing gear, there will be plenty to choose from, and experts will be on hand to answer all your questions.

Tickets will go on sale soon!
