This first-of-a-kind, super-efficient pairing combines an ultra-low-powered, non-mechanical wind sensor (created by Calypso Instruments) with Weems & Plath’s bright OGM LX TriColor/Anchor LED Navigation Light with Strobe and Photodiode (#LXTA-SP). This combination was designed exclusively for sailors seeking unparalleled mast-top efficiency, safety and precision underway or at anchor. BRIGHTWind will provide wind speed and direction data to any NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 display (with converter), free of bearings or mechanical parts that can wear out over time. The rugged OGM LED TriColor/Anchor light is USCG approved for sailboats under 65 feet (20 meters).
